I decided to work with a counselor because I thought I wanted to pursue engineering in university but I didn't know which field suited my personality and my work ethics. After a few sessions with the UniEdge counselor who took her time to assess me, I realised what I really wanted to study in university and most importantly what suited me the most. I completely changed my mind and chose the business path. I worked with a UniEdge counselor this past year because, coming from a French school in Romania and wanting to go to a British university, I was completely lost and didn’t know where to start. I needed help in finding universities I could apply to in the UK and had some very specific criteria in mind but no idea where to apply. Her sense of organization and confidence reassured me from the beginning. She was very efficient and helped me a lot during the application season: together we came up with a great list of universities, she answered all my questions regarding the UCAS and provided a lot of support in brainstorming for my personal statement. After discussing with my counselor at UniEdge, I was able to find the degree that suits me best: Business Administration and International Relations. Working with a counselor really helped me turn my university application into its most convenient version possible. Not only was she helpful with the application itself but she also made sure other components of the application (essay, self-description, and other creative requirements such as creating a video or a prezi) highlighted my strengths and showed my best side.
