career-major-exploration

Career/major exploration (3 sessions):

Through the follow up interpretation sessions and in depth introspection, the student becomes more in tune with his/her interests and aware of the possible career fields in which they will thrive.

The steps involved in the career exploration process:

  1. Administration of career assessment instrument
  1. Interpretation of assessment and exploration of possible college majors
  1. Follow up discussion sessions that will further narrow down the list of possible majors

College List Building:

Taking a holistic approach, we use our in-house questionnaires to analyze each student's specific needs and desires, in order to develop a list of match, safety, and target schools to which the student will apply. During our meetings with the student, we will discuss and look over the student’s list, make suggestions, research right fit universities and then fine-tune the choices until we have established a list that matches the student’s aspirations. We will also help arrange campus visits and provide questions to ask so that you make the most out of these visits.

Not sure what university to choose? UniEdge will guide your student through this daunting process.

application-process

Application Process:

What do admissions committees look for when they read applications? How do you know which information to include and which to leave out? UniEdge experienced counselors will look through your student’s college applications, making sure they highlight their best attributes and activities.

Below you will find some of the tasks involved in the application process:

  1. Application timeline creation
  1. Review and fine tuning of application
  1. Creation of activities resume
  1. Proof reading of application before submission

Essay Assistance and Interview coaching

It is the one chance your student has to tell his/her story and let the admission reader learn about the person behind the application

  1. In some cases, the essay is believed to make the difference between being admitted to a top choice or not. Our counselors will help you brainstorm and develop the essay that showcases your best attributes while making sure the style of the essay preserves your authentic voice and grabs the admissions committee’s attention.
  1. Some selective universities in the US as well as in Europe request an interview as part of the application process. At UniEdge, we prepare your student for the interviews by conducting mock interviews that aim at guiding the student through the types of questions to expect and the best ways to respond.

In many application systems, the essay part/motivation letter is a very important piece of the application.
